We had a near fatal catastrophe Sunday morning: FedEx package vs. Chocolate Milk.
Yes, someone (no one would fess up) spilled a full glass of chocolate milk across our entire kitchen table, at the edge of which was sitting (of course) the pile of papers from Avery. Why did we leave them on the kitchen table again?? Anyway, Dustin was getting ready for church and came into the kitchen to find the horrific scene. Did you know that FedEx envelopes are actually quite absorbent? The papers were inside the envelope, and didn't get damaged. Although, the triple-copy drug test papers got a little soaked on the edge. It dried out, but now the layers won't separate...oops.
In other news, it appears that Dustin will make it through his classes this semester. Today is the last day of class, and finals start on Friday. He is, at this very moment, frantically finishing lab write-ups for his Automation class due by 5 pm. Wish him luck.
Also, we attended Dustin's Senior Celebration on campus last Friday night. All graduating seniors are invited to come with their families and eat pizza and ice cream. Then they have performances, activities and prize giveaways. We went to mine two years ago when I graduated, so it was fun to go again. The kids were covered with pizza sauce, and we lost Owen for about 10 minutes (no joke, we had a minor heart attack), but all in all it was a fun night.
A photographer was walking around taking pictures of the event and snapped several of our kids, so he got my email address and sent them to me. Here they are:
