Easter

The Easter bunny visited us twice this year! Last weekend we were invited to our new neighbor's church for their annual Easter activity. It was complete with games, an Easter story for the kids, food, and of course an egg hunt. They split the kids up by age group and let them search in different roped off areas of the lawn. Each child was allowed to find an allotted number of eggs. Alivia was not interested in the eggs at all. She did however try to get the balloons that were tied up nearby. The boys each got a giant stash of candy. They started opening their eggs and devouring their candy, only to discover that half of the chocolate was melted! Some of the eggs had been sitting in the sun a bit too long. But it was still a ton of fun and the weather was beautiful. It was also a great chance to meet some more people in the community where we will be moving in just two months.

On Easter day, unfortunately Dustin, Alivia and I were all sick with a cold. So we weren't able to make it to church. I don't ever like to miss church, especially on Easter! I was so looking forward to hearing people testify of our Savior and his Atonement and Resurrection. But we were still able to remind the kids what Jesus did for us and how we will be able to be resurrected and live with Him again!

Then we let them loose on our own egg hunt in the front yard. The Easter bunny very generously donated a bunch of loose change and candy filled eggs. The boys also received some money counting banks to count all their loot.

Wow, I can't believe how old the kids are looking! They are growing up so fast. Love the pictures.
